Meet our Facilitators

TARA SEN PITT LPC, PMH-C

Mamas for Mamas, Postpartum Mamas

  • Tara grew up in Houston as the daughter of a German mom and an Indian (South Asian) dad. She is a 50-something-year-old mother of three. She went to Texas A&M University for undergrad and then to The University of Denver to obtain a Master's in Counseling Psychology. She now lives in Austin, Texas.

In addition to facilitating Mamas for Mamas peer support group once a week, Tara mostly does one-on-one talk therapy. She is working on her Perinatal Mental Health Certification through Postpartum Support International (PSI). She also uses EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Sand Tray therapy for the treatment of pain, trauma, anxiety, grief, and loss. She works with all types of folks, especially moms, teens, and young adults. She also likes to work with other Asian Americans and “third culture kids,” who grow up in places that are not their parents’ homeland.

Tara has worked with college students dealing with acculturation and careers, women who just gave birth, and people navigating bumpy relationships. She has also worked with people who have faced complex trauma and violence in her work with the Austin Police Department’s Victims Services.

Her favorite life experience was studying abroad in Italy in college and learning a bit of Italian. When not in session, she loves hiking, spin class, and traveling to Mexico.

JANA RUNDLE Psy.D., PMH-C

Mamas for Mamas, Postpartum Mamas

  • Hi! I'm glad you're here! I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience specializing in women's mental health, maternal wellness, and parent support.

Being a woman—and a mom—today can feel like an impossible juggling act. If you're exhausted by expectations, weighed down by the mental load, or just wondering "Is it supposed to be this hard?"... you're not alone. And you're in the right place.

After having my own children and seeing just how little support moms receive, I developed a passion for supporting women through life transitions, particularly those related to motherhood and family dynamics. I am certified in perinatal mental health, and I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to my work with clients navigating the complex terrain of modern womanhood and parenthood.

I help women reduce stress, build meaningful connections, and strengthen their family dynamics—so they can feel more like themselves again. I'm trained in Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), an evidence-based approach for perinatal mood disorders, and I also draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic principles to support real, lasting growth.

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, hiking, a good cup of coffee, and volunteering for local non-profits.

Sidu Arroyo, LPC

Mamas for Mamas, Expecting Mamas

  • As a child I wanted to be a teacher (and I did become one) but soon learned that I craved to be in a different helping profession and pursued a Master’s in Counseling to help children, adults, and families become at home within themselves as well as in relationships they find meaningful.

When I am not doing therapy, you can find me gardening, exploring hiking trails with my kids, drinking tea, enjoying good friends, or watching a funny rom com.

I specialize in long-term relational, depth therapy with adolescents and adults in addition to supporting children and their families through child-centered family therapy, and perinatal patients struggling with perinatal mood disorders. I also am an especially good fit for those who struggle with feelings of guilt and shame; those who consider themselves highly sensitive; and those who feel like outsiders.

Having worked both as an educator and counselor in public education and community agencies for over a decade prior to moving into private practice I am passionate about seeing families thrive.

MICHAEL COX LPC-S

Dads for Dads, Option 1

  • My road to becoming a therapist: My first career was in vocational ministry, primarily working with adolescents. During that 13 years, many young people and their families came to me with issues that Bible School didn’t teach me how to address. And it wasn’t every once in a while or casually during the conversation. No, it happened often, and I felt ill-equipped to support these young people and their parents. I realized I needed more education and training, so I returned to graduate school to pursue a degree in counseling. As a counselor, I started out working with adolescents. And it was everything I wanted. It was rewarding to make a difference in their lives. But I noticed something I also saw when I was in ministry: Even though these young people were doing better, they often went home to rough situations. So, to ensure they could sustain their wellness at home, I focused my efforts on working with the family.

Therapy is a gift – one I give to myself! Like everyone, I’ve had my life struggles. I know firsthand how therapy can give you the tools to get through rough times. That’s why therapy is my calling. I want to “pay it forward” by giving others the gift of therapy, helping men, couples, and families realize their God-given potential on all levels.

Here are some “non-therapy” things about me: I love to cook and bake. My wife, Coloma, is great at cleaning dishes, so we’re a perfect pair. I hate when you wake up in the middle of the night and almost break your toe by kicking the footboard or dresser. Give me some Sade, a nice bourbon, a good autobiography… and I am a happy camper. If it can be done outside, I will likely try and enjoy it as long as the weather is between 40 and 90 degrees. I prefer dogs over cats if I have to choose an animal type.

TY WILSON Graduate Student Therapist

Dads for Dads, Option 2

  • My road to becoming a therapist...

I have always been a story-teller. Whether it was making up stories for my Power Rangers when I was in pull-ups or being inspired by the biblical stories of David, Noah, and Moses, I have always believed that life is one long journey full of ups, downs, mountains, valleys, and even breakthroughs.

So, what brought me here? I had my own breakthrough story after surviving a car-accident that led to the amputation of my left leg. I was blessed with a supportive family and a community of faith that enabled me to turn my pain into purpose.

After learning to walk again at 20 years old, I realized that my purpose in this world was to help people find hope and healing when it seems like those things are non-existent.

I attended Bible school after I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin and worked in college ministry for four years. Later, the 2020 pandemic opened my eyes to the mental health needs of my friends, the young men I disciplined, my relatives, and the generation at large.

Now, I’m in the last year of my master’s program at Liberty University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling to become a licensed professional counselor. My sole desire is to instill hope, a few laughs, a whole lot of care into every client I come into contact with.

As a counselor, I am passionate about working with specific populations.

After four years of working with college and high school students in ministry, I am well aware of the issues these precious individuals face at school, at home, from peers, and from society.

Additionally, I became a certified sexual addiction coach with the view to specifically help people, especially young men, break the shackles of addictions they have longed to overcome.

Being a Black person, I also would like to be a familiar face to clients who look and talk like me.

I know it’s not many of us in the therapy world, but I’m here and I’m willing to lend an ear to hear your story.

Here are some “non-therapy” things about me...

The people that live in my heart would be my wife Jackie and my baby boy Josiah.

The passions of my heart consist of movies (which is anything from the Marvel Universe to Charlie Chaplin movies), traveling (I’ll hop on a plane to Italy right now), and cooking (Salmon, Pastas, and Cheesecake are some of my staples).

Some other fun facts would be that I have one of the largest families in Texas since both of my grandmothers were 1 of 12 children, I’ve met Beyoncé 3 times in my life, and that I love the beach so much, I decided to get married in Cancun.
